Catégorie:Ébauches L'Industrial Workers of the World a été fondé le 27 juin 1905 au Continental Congress of the Working Class qui regroupait des socialistes, des anarchistes et des radicaux sous le thème du travail industriel en opposition formelle aux politiques syndicales de l'AFL(American Federation of Labor). Y étaient entres autres présentEs: Big Bill Haywood, Daniel De Leon, Eugene V. Debs, Thomas J. Hagerty, Lucy Parsons, Mother Jones, William Trautmann, Vincent Saint John et Ralph Chaplin.

Les principes de l'organisation sont: l'anarcho-syndicalisme, la One Big Union(syndicalisme industriel), l'action directe(dont le sabotage), la grève générale et sauvage,... Le symbole de l'organisation est un chat noir en colère.
